How to replace the gas line on weed eater?
A damaged gas line calls for replacement with the new one. You can easily replace the damaged gas line with the new one by following the easy to follow 6 steps as mentioned below:
Step 1: Remove the spark plug wire from the spark plug. While removing the spark plug wire make sure that the wire is kept at distance so that it cannot make any contact with the spark plug. From the weed eater, pour the gas into a gas can with the help of funnel so that any spill could be prevented.
Step 2: With the help of a pair of needle-nose pliers pull the two fuel lines off the carburetor. While doing so, minute oil spill may take place from the fuel lines. In such case, wipe off the spill with a rag before moving to the third step.
Step 3: On the gas tank you will find two screws. With the help of a screw driver unscrew them and remove the gas tank from the weed eater.
Step 4: With the gas tank removed, you will now be able to remove the two gas lines. Remember, the gas lines should be removed gently and one by one. Now, dump the damaged fuel line and replace it with the new one. While removing the gas line you may find a small cylindrical fuel line filter keep it with you to reattach it to the new line at the time of installation.
Step 5: Insert the gas line into the gas tank in the same hole from which you removed the damaged one. Now, penetrate the line through small hole and out the large hole to the lid for the gas tank. You can also take the help of nose pliers to bend and to pass the line from one hole to another.
Step 6: Now, reattach the gas tank to the weed eater with the screws that were taken off earlier. Now, reattach the fuel lines to the carburetor just like they were attached before. Similarly, reattach the spark plug wire.
